To be accepted into our program, it is essential that you meet the following conditions:
-You are at least 16 years of age.
-You are fluent in written and spoken English.
-You are an open minded individual with an eagerness to explore new cultures.
-It is not mandatory, however your chances of acceptance are higher if you are currently enrolled in a university.
It is very important to be informed that proper visa documentation is mandatory for students to legally intern abroad. Asia Internship Program has years of experience in processing visas in the destinations that we offer, and will provide assistance through the entire visa process. We can confidently assure that you will receive the proper visa documentation to intern in your host country and fully enjoy your experience.
It’s also very important to note that each destination that we offer has different visa protocols. Please refer to our Destination pages below for more details on visa requirements.
Hong Kong offers a Working Holiday Scheme Program, which allows people of the following countries to enter for a limited period of training.
Australia,Austria,Canada,France,Germany,Hungary,Ireland,Japan,New Zealand,South Korea,Sweden,United Kingdom
The purpose of the Scheme is to facilitate cultural and educational exchange between Hong Kong and the participating countries.
Nationals of the participating countries that meet the following eligibility criteria can be granted a Working Holiday Visa:
he/she holds a valid national passport issued by the participating country and is ordinarily residing in that participating country
he/she is aged between 18 and 30
he/she is able to produce financial proof of having an amount sufficient for his/her maintenance during his/her proposed stay in the HKSAR, e.g. bank statement, saving accounts passbooks, etc.
he/she holds a return air ticket or financial proof of having sufficient funds to purchase a return air ticket; and he/she agrees to hold medical, healthcare (including hospitalization), repatriation and liability insurance to remain in force throughout his/her stay in the HKSAR

（A）Non-cooperation include, but are notlimited to:
i. not actively working with your assigned representatives;
ii. skipping, missing or arriving late for your scheduled internshipinterviews;
iii. not engaging in internship discussions with your InternshipCoordinator;
iv. not responding to Asia Internship Program communications within 72hours regardless of non working days;
v. allowing the placement process to be delayed due to missing agreedpayment due dates;
vi. refusing internships offered to you if they are your first or secondchoice as stated in your acceptance letter.
(B) Uponpayment of your Initial Deposit you agree that it is your responsibility toprepare for the internship interview arranged by us. If you fail to adequatelyprepare for the internship interview you will lose your deposit. Failing toproperly prepare for the internship interview is defined as failing one of thepoints below:
i. failing one internship interview because of not properly researchingabout the internship company;
ii. failing one internship interview because of not properly learningabout the job position;
iii. failing one internship interview because of missing the scheduledinterview time without prior notice;
iv. failing three or more interviews.
(C) Ifthe Internship Program is unable to place you in an internship role in your JobPreference Area as stated in your interview summary before the PlacementDeadline, you will be given the option (1) to withdraw from the Program andreceive a refund of your Initial Deposit made by you (“Full Refund”), or (2) to request that the Internship Program continues thesearch process until you are placed; and if the Internship Program is stillunable to place you within the extended time, you will receive a Full Refund.Note that the Full Refund is only applicable if you do not fail according tothe conditions stated in section 3(c).
(D) Ifyour Initial Deposit is received by us less than 8 weeks before theCommencement Date, your Commencement Date will be delayed by the number of daysthe deposit should have been received by (minimum of 8 weeks prior).
(E) AllProgram Fees must be paid in full, 21 days prior to the Commencement Dateunless agreed otherwise. Participants, who fail to meet this requirement, mayreceive none of the benefits of the Program. This includes, without limitation;placement in a confirmed Program, airport transfers, Thai language courses and accommodation.
(F) Youare responsible for covering all and any charges related to foreign currencytransfers and international bank payments: this applies to your Deposit,Program Fee and any other transfer to us. If you underpay your Deposit due tonot covering foreign currency transfers and international bank payments, youwill make up the balance when you pay the Program Fee.
(i) AIPx fees are to be paid together with your Initial Deposit.
(j) If you apply for
(a) If you wish to withdraw from the Program this must be done via awritten request. For the avoidance of doubt, such a written request can be madeby email to your assigned coordinator.
(b) If you withdraw from the Program for any reason other than AsiaInternship Program failure to place you by the Placement Deadline in your JobPreference Area stated in your acceptance letter, or if the Internship Programdetermines, in its sole discretion, you did not fully co-operate in theplacement process at any time before the Placement Deadline, such as stated inthe conditions in section 3 (b) and (c), the Internship Program will beentitled to the Initial Deposit.
(c) If you withdraw from the Program for any reason after being placedwith a partner organization, the Internship Program will be entitled to theFull amount of the Placement Package or 50% of the Standard Package Fee. If thewithdrawal takes place less than 21 days before the Commencement Date,the InternshipProgram will be entitled to the Full amount on both Program fees.
(d) Unless previously agreed, if you want to change the dates of yourparticipation in the Program, or change any part of the information stated inthe acceptance letter after paying the associated Program fees, up to $500 USDor 25% of your package fee [whichever is greater] administration fee will becharged. If such a request is made within 21 days of the Commencement Date orafter an invitation letter has been issued we reserve the right to refuse thechange request or apply an additional charge, which shall be determined at our solediscretion.
(e) In the event that, for any reason at all, you decide to discontinueyour place on the Program after it has started no refund will be given.
(f) If, for whatever reason, we have to cancel your participation in theProgram, prior to your commencement date, a full refund of the Program Fee,including the Deposit, will be given to you. A full refund will be issued onlyif the cancellation is for reasons, which are in no way whatsoever attributableto you. No compensation can be given for any other costs incurred in relationto the Program.
(g) All refunds will be issued minus any bank transfer costs.
(a) It is your responsibility to be aware of any national holidays orother events that may change the nature of the Program. While most companiesoperate a 08:00 – 18:00 working policy some may have different requirements andwe cannot be held responsible for this.
(b) International flights are not included in the cost of any of ourPrograms. It is your sole responsibility to arrange flights and to selectproviders based on your own decisions and experiences. We cannot be held responsiblefor any action, negligence or event relating to the purchase or operation offlight tickets or flights. We will also not be responsible for any costs orrefunds due to changes or delays in the flights.
(c) It is your responsibility to arrange your own immigration visa. Wherewe will provide visa assistance as best to our current research and knowledgewe cannot be held liable for any costs or delays relating to your immigrationvisa acquisition. Costs include the visa application, travel and accommodation.
(d) It is your responsibility to verify the required documents in order toobtain your immigration visa by liaising with the counselor/embassy of yourchosen destination. Please note immigration visa policies are subject to changeand differs according to your country of origin / residence. We cannot be heldliable for the change in visa immigration policies.
(e) It is your responsibility to arrange your immigration visa accordingto your Commencement Date. We cannot be held liable for any costs or delaysrelating to a postponement of your Commencement Date relating to your visaacquisition.
(f) it is your responsibility to provide updates about the visaapplication process or related documents, if requested.
